Ligia Thompson passed on May 18 in the early hours of the morning after years of battling breast cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones until her final moments.
Ligia was born on November 14, 1942 in Bogotá, Colombia. She showed an interest in the arts at a very early age. Participating in a nacional radio singing contest where she placed second.
She moved to the states to pursue her passion for the performing arts. Ligia loved musical theater and Broadway. She was a member of Equity and Sag-aftra for many years. She was a singer, actress, and a dancer.
Ligia was a charming, lively, and adventurous woman. She traveled the world and lived a full life
She met her husband Steph Thompson while dancing and now she will be reunited with him to continue their dance.
She will be missed
