Vanessa Norton
Vanessa Anderson Norton passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026. Vanessa was born in New York City on February 29, 2004 to Alexander Taylor Norton and Ashley Prentice Norton. She was a beautiful, warm, creative soul, always up for adventure and a good laugh. She possessed a dry wit and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a dedicated and loving daughter and loyal friend.
She loved reading, travel and had a passion for fashion and jewelry design.
Vanessa was a member of St. Bartholomew’s church in New York, and she attended St. Thomas More Play Group, the Hewitt School, the Taft School, Fusion Academy, American University of Paris and she was working on a Certificate in Gemology at the Gemology Institute of America (GIA) in New York.
She is survived by her parents, Alexander Taylor Norton and Ashley Prentice Norton; her brother Alexander Prentice Norton, and her sister, Camilla Adams Norton, of New York.
Donations may be made in Vanessa’s memory to the Hewitt School, Fusion Academy and New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell hospital to support mental health programs for teens and young adults.
